Toowoomba Private Day Hospital Announcement

Toowoomba Private Day Hospital has decided to end its contract arrangement with our fund and all of the other Australian Health Service Alliance private health funds, effective midnight Sunday 1 February 2026. 

What this means for our members 

Following Toowoomba Private Day Hospital’s contract termination, Emergency Services Health members who attend Toowoomba Private Day Hospital are likely to be charged large out-of-pocket costs.  

This will not affect you if you have already booked treatment at Toowoomba Private Day Hospital, or do so before midnight Sunday 1 February 2026, as the contract has transitional arrangements.   

To confirm what your out-of-pocket costs will be, we strongly advise you to call the Toowoomba Private Day Hospital.

Your treating doctor is the best person to ask about your options, and whether it's possible to schedule your treatment at another nearby hospital or day surgery where we have an agreement. Our contracted hospitals are listed on our website here.
